Use the board to plan
The board makes list and status movement visible, which suits planning and handoffs. Keep columns small enough that blocked work is noticeable.
Use the list to scan
The list is compact when you need to compare owners, dates, or many tasks at once. Sort your attention by real deadlines rather than creation order alone.
Narrow a list down
Above a list there are Status, Due, Priority and Assignee dropdowns, a Sort choice (newest, due date or priority) and a box to find a task by words in its title. Set as many as you like; the address bar keeps your choice, so a narrowed view survives a reload and can be sent to a colleague. Clear filters puts the whole list back.
Use My tasks to focus
My tasks removes work assigned elsewhere. Check the wider board periodically so unassigned or shared work is not forgotten.
