Service status

Is it us, or is it you?

The quickest way to tell. This page checks QuickDesk from your own browser, right now, and tells you what it finds.

Right now

Checking whether QuickDesk answers you right now…

If it says we did not answer

Reload the page first — a single failed check is more often a phone dropping off wifi than a service being down. If it keeps failing, email support@quickdesk.co.uk. Tell us what you were doing and roughly when, and we will tell you what we find.

Worth knowing: this page is served by the same machine that runs your desk. If that machine were completely down, this page would not load at all — so a page that will not open is itself an answer.

How we tell you about problems

If something is broken and we know about it, we will say so here. If it affected your workspace and you may have lost something — a message that did not arrive, an email that did not send — we will email the workspace owner rather than wait for you to find this page.

Our support policy sets out when we are around and what we aim for.

What we do not publish, and why

We do not publish an uptime percentage, and we would rather explain that than show you a number we cannot stand behind.

Measuring availability honestly means checking the service from outside, continuously, for long enough that the figure means something. We are not doing that yet. Anything we printed today would be a guess dressed up as a measurement, and you would have no way to tell the difference. When we do measure it, this page is where it will appear.

For the same reason, QuickDesk does not offer a service level agreement. That is stated plainly in our terms of service rather than buried.
