Support policy

Who answers when you need us.

QuickDesk is a support desk, so it would be strange to be vague about our own. This page says how to reach us, what we aim to do, and — just as importantly — what we do not promise yet.

How to reach us

Email support@quickdesk.co.uk from any address. There is no ticket portal to log into and no form to fill in — your message reaches a person.

If you cannot sign in at all, email us from the address you signed up with and say so. We can look your workspace up without you being able to reach it.

When we are around

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time. We read messages outside those hours and will pick up anything urgent if we see it, but we do not promise that, because we are not staffed overnight or at weekends.

What we aim for

We aim to reply to every message within one working day, and usually faster. That is a target we hold ourselves to, not a contractual guarantee — see below.

Every plan gets the same support. There is no paid priority queue, and we would rather not sell one until it means something.

What we do not promise yet

Being straight about this is more useful to you than a badge. QuickDesk does not currently offer:

  • A guaranteed response time backed by a service level agreement, or any refund tied to one.
  • Cover overnight, at weekends or on UK bank holidays.
  • A published uptime figure or availability guarantee.
  • A telephone line.

Our terms of service say the same thing in the formal register. If you need any of the above written into a contract, tell us before you buy rather than after.

If something breaks

Check the status page first — if we already know about it, it will say so, and you can save yourself writing in.

If it is not there, email us and include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps more than anything else. If it turns out to be a fault on our side, we will tell you plainly that it was ours, and tell you when it is fixed.

Getting your data out

You never need to ask us for this. Settings has a “Download your data” button that gives you everything in your workspace, as a page you can read and keep and as a file another system can load. Closing your workspace is self-service too, and nothing is deleted for 30 days after you do.

Reporting a security problem

Please do not raise it through ordinary support. Our security page explains how we handle your data, and security.txt gives the address to report a vulnerability to.
