Install the chat widget

Add QuickDesk chat to a website, restrict where it appears, and verify the live launcher before launch.

Create a site

Your first site is set up when you sign up, using the website address you gave, so its code is ready to paste in. Type that address however you know it, with or without www or a page after it, and the sign-up form shows the address it will use as you type. If you do not have a website yet, tick the box on the form and add a site later from here. To support another website, open Sites and widget and add the exact public website address. QuickDesk creates a site-specific embed snippet and uses the listed addresses to decide where chat may appear.

Rename or remove a site

Open the three dots next to any site and choose Rename site to change what your team calls it, or Remove site to retire it. Visitors never see the name. One site has to remain, so add the replacement before removing the last one. Removing a site keeps its past conversations on your desk and only stops new chats.

Place the snippet

Paste the supplied script immediately before the closing body tag in the website template. Publish the change once, avoid adding the snippet twice, then reload without an ad blocker or cached page.

WordPress: plugin or HTML

For WordPress, the recommended method is the official QuickDesk plugin, listed in the WordPress plugin directory. In WordPress go to Plugins, then Add New Plugin, search for QuickDesk, install it, activate it, and connect your QuickDesk workspace under Settings, then QuickDesk. The plugin handles authentication, injects the widget, and can recognise signed-in WordPress users; all visual styling still lives in QuickDesk.

If you do not want to install the plugin, open "Or paste the code instead" in the same WordPress tab. Add the HTML snippet with WPCode or another trusted header-and-footer tool, placing it in the footer on every page. The HTML method shows the same widget but cannot securely identify signed-in WordPress users.

Verify before launch

Confirm the launcher appears on an allowed address and opens a conversation. If it does not, compare the live page source with the snippet and follow Widget troubleshooting.
